Rhetman Rama: KSF ready for state of emergency

Seven members of the Kosovo Security Force, who will return from training in Turkey, will be quarantined at the Student Centre. He confirmed this in an interview for Online Economics, the commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Rundman Rama. He has shown that KSF has 7 medical teams, some ambulances and a number of beds if necessary. Rama in this interview has spoken about the full commitment of the Force in managing the situation created by the Coronavirus pandemic, the willingness of the army to help the citizens of the country, the infected member and those in their own possession.

General Rama, has suggested that KSF specialised teams are in a state of depending readiness where the need to engage is presented.

We've actually been committed to starting us and raising the willing state to level 2. We're mainly engaged in transportation from the airport or border points. But we also have an extra task for those who are released from quarantine, we transport them to their municipalities or villages. We've put the tents in front of family medical centers and major hospitals. We are engaged in the MPB operating centre, all information depending on the need we are willing to act”, he told Online Economy.

He has said the first step taken has been to care for KSF personnel, to be in good health to help citizens and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

Rama has said the KSF is engaged in managing pandemic based on the situation created.

We are engaged on the basis of the laws and regulations it has. We're based on the situation created by pandemic. We have specialised units that engage based on domestic laws and regulations. Normally based on commitment and rising and emergency state-level situation”, Rama told Online Economy.

Rama has said that only one member and several others in the identity are infected so far.

By all means from day one, my duty and all of us is to preserve the vitality of the organization. We did the disinfection and reduced the number of soldiers to officers and officers. We've engaged the specialised units on the basis of the assessment that we've made and based on the epidemic, and we have specialised units, whether medical regiment, logistics, search units. Depending on the needs we have some specialised units that can have commitment in this period of pandemic. But also part of the staff. Operational Headquarters is engaged at 24/7 and we have contacts with all institutions. Officially we only have one chance. We've had ticket training abroad and we've been taking precautions since they got back. We officially have only one case that one member has proved positive. Unfortunately, he is in good condition, under the care of doctors. We have some isolation in some municipalities, villages, areas that have our members in isolation. “, Rama has declared.

We've had 22 members in Albania and when they've returned we have isolated them, they haven't had any symptoms. Tests have been conducted and they continue to work. Today comes a piece from Turkey, 7 are KSF members, and after two weeks tests will take place. We adhere to state rules, even they are citizens of Kosovo. We've had three of them before, and they've got negative measure testing”, he said. Rama has said the command has not been trained. “We don't have any symptoms. We have our own medical teams doing the checks. Teams have done search for all active personnel because we change them, some work a whole week a couple of two, we don't have any symptoms”, he said.

We have co-operation with the central hospital and when we appreciate that we need to run tests like all citizens. We've got seven active teams, automabulances, we got some beds. We're ready whenever they need it. But we hope we don't need to use these” capacities.

He said they didn't accept the means separate from the government so they can separate people who need them most.

“We need to understand is not rejection but solidification with citizens, taking the country's economy to the base, and the different categories they need is not rejection. Soldiers need tools but we've discussed with the staff, the minister and we've come to the conclusion that our situation is on the average level and there's been the will that those means dedicated to our members in the ministry are dedicated to a category that needs more. KSF's humanity for categories that need most at this time. We didn't actually make someone expect it, but if we look at it at the global level and every institution solidifies, if we appreciate the work of doctors and policemen is sacred work. Rama has said the KSF is ready to engage in the event the state of emergency is declared.

“We are military and we function based. We follow orders and give orders. Whatever the situation that comes, it's not ours, but whatever decision we're willing to implement”, he said.
