OBS Director: Countries lift restrictions risk crisis extensions

The World Health Organization's General Director warned that countries that rush to lift quarantine restrictions endanger a greater economic decline and crisis extension, as well as increased coronary cases.

“We are all aware of the deep social and economic consequences of the pandemic,” said Tedros Adhanom Ghebraesus during a conference at agency headquarters in Geneva.

According to him, the best way to end restrictions and ease their economic effects is to fight the virus.
