Earlier this week, Kosovo's incumbent Government approved the Fiscal Emergency Pack through which financial support for businesses is included during the COVID-19 pandemic period.
Deputy Minister of Finance and Transfers Agim Krasniqi through a Facebook script has said the financial means will be transported directly to employee accounts rather than to the company's account.
“The workers can individually be notified at the employment office and hand over the work contract and the interruption contract, as well as the bank account, in order to avoid misusing financial means”, Krasniqi said.
He has said this decision was made after the package was approved, through which additional funds will be allocated for social and pension schemes, financial support for commercial societies, loans for troubled public enterprises, for municipalities, additions for doctors, nurses, policemen, shop workers, ovens, drugs, and other categories.
The value of the package approved by the Kosovo government amounts to 179.6m euros.
Authorities in Kosovo have declared a state of emergency for public health, with the aim of preventing the spread of this virus.
