He said in an interview on public television that the coronary situation is manageable and that current figures of over 700 confirmed cases are expected.
Raka warns that if we do not comply with social distance advice, after easing the measures, this could return with a greater increase in the second phase, as has happened in some other countries of the world.
Even after May 4th, we should keep in mind that social distance and hand hygiene should continue”, he said.
Raka also spoke of criteria that must be met before it can be eased into preventing measures against the spread of the coronary.
The first “Kritor is the epidemiological one that shows that the spread of the disease is manageable by health institutions”, Raka has said, adding that in this direction Kosovo stands well as the situation is manageable.
The second criteria have to do with adequate health system capacities, the number of beds and intensive care, enough medical personnel to care for patients at the hospital and those in the privacy. While the third criterion is the proper capacity for the monitor, including testing, tracking of contacts and persons affected with COVID-19.
According to him, the lack of a greater number of daily tests has to do with global shortages and difficulties in supply in this direction.
