The KSF had sent in 55 members, out of whom only seven of them will continue to stay home for another week since they have to complete the period they are recommended for ownership.
In the KSF barracks, no one has been identified as being affected by Covid-19, except two cases have been recorded in the defence minister, who have self-curanted and their situation reportedly stabilised.
Force Medical Centre Director Shkelzen Syla has told Kosovo Preress that the isolation of dozens of KSF members had been done since they had served in transporting people from the diaspora.
So far, we've had 55 members in the self-defence, from which, according to the dates we've been looking for, we've done self-curantation, a significant portion of them are back in the service, and actually tomorrow the previous group ends, tomorrow at 8:00 p.m., and we're going to do their medical examination, and in the next period, we're going to have 7 members to complete the self-curantation action. We don't have any KSF members inside the barracks who are identified with Covid-19 but we have two cases in the Ministry of Defence, we are in regular contact with them, they are self-curanted in their homes”, Syla said.
Syla says that during this period they have done the mobilization within the facility and space of the Medical Force Centre, making testing and reactivating all equipment, initiated by the radioology service, laboratory and emergency service.
Three departments and 60 beds have been activated at this center.
According to the commander's ordinance, we already have three units, 60 beds for the needs to be submitted to KSF personnel, or according to the need and ordinance for other cases. We have our medical teams on 24-hour alert within the barracks and we care for the health of members of the Force and according to the needs in support of other institutions”, he said.
Under the Command of the Force Commander, KSF units in all barracks have been put on alert with the necessary capacities.
“Over this period we have prepared additional, medical units in all barracks, we have raised bridges from three additional small medical facilities, we have done additional training for medical personnel with the best intention of informing them of all necessary measures to manage this situation and of safeguard clauses for medical personnel and other KSF personnel”, Syla said.
The KSF's medical units are now on alert to support other civilian institutions in case of need.
While so far, several KSF units have served in support of other institutions, where they have actively implemented the transport of citizens from the diaspora through the airport and to border areas.
Major Adem Preten states that all members of the force, but others entering the barracks, are examined before the entrance to the facility and after leaving.
“Gatibility is good; we don't have any problems so far. All members are trained, trained, and motivated to carry out their duties. We have opportunities that our members volunteer, while carrying out the shift, serve voluntarily, keep another change to be closer to the citizens, and the more willing to carry out the” task, he said.
Such a tent, in which medical examinations are conducted, is located at each KSF barracks, with the aim of maintaining the health of members.
