The Kosovar living in Japan shows how the state is operating there with the pandemic of the Coronavirus

According to the latest data, the number of persons infected with coronarys worldwide has exceeded 1.7 million,780,903 respectively.

108,838 people have died worldwide and 404,497 have recovered.

After the pandemic broke out, many Western natives took to Kosovo, while a considerable number have remained in the states where they live and act, writes Periscope.

Mithat Hatziislam is Albanian from Kosovo, now 17 years old living in Japan's capital, Tokyo.

Hadzislam in an interview for Periscope shows how he is living in Tokyo at this time of pandemic.

Total interview:

Periscope: How long have you been isolated?

Mithat Hatziislam: There is no behind and still no forced isolation, just as there are in Europe or America, even though extraordinary measures have been declared on April 8th. But since presenting the first cases of coronarys to the sailing ship anchored in Yokohama in February of this year, the Japanese government took quick protective measures, demanding that all sports matches be cancelled, concerts shut down schools and universities, as well as “Tokyo Disort”, what was an unthinkable thing until then, and while also recommending that all those who have the opportunity to work on it. My colleagues and I responded positively to this call and since then we have been working from home and we are more or less in voluntary self-issolation, but not bound.

Periscope: Is the Japanese government doing enough to fight the Coronavirus?

Mithat Hatziislam: We were initially very impressed with the quick protective measures taken by the Japanese government during the month of February, but after overcoming the situation with the floating ship “Dymond Princess” in Yokohama, these measures somehow began to relax across the number of infected people began to rise.

I personally believe that all of this happened because the government was afraid of cancelling the Olympic Games, so they tried not to present the situation more dramatically, but given the pandemic that engulfed the world, it became necessary. Now, after that happened, the Japanese government, even though it was two to three weeks late, decided to declare the state of emergency in the country's 7 perfects, including Tokyo, but this statement is unfortunately full of holes, which it's not serious. Meanwhile, the number of Coronavirus tested to date -- April 12th -- is about 73,000 -- while positively proven around 6,000 -- and fatality 120.

It is surprising how small the number of tests for a 127 million population are, so the number of positive cases is low, but very high compared with the number of tests, more than 8%.

As a comparison, I'm using South Korea, where so far more than 550,000 people have been tested, while the number of infected is 10,500, which is somewhere around 2%. Simply, the more tests the more positive cases, and this way creates the opportunity to isolate and deal with these cases, and it protects the lives of others. So South Korea acts and still acts, which also makes it the world's most successful country in corporate management.

Of all this higher claim, it can be concluded that the Japanese government has unfortunately not done enough so far to fight the coronary. We look forward to not experiencing a situation like America, Italy, Spain, France, Britain, etc., because the number of fatalities can be too high, considering that 25% of the population here is over 65 years old.

Periscope: Have you done your tests for COVID-19?

Mithat Hatziislam: No, I didn't take the test because neither I nor any members of my family showed any symptoms of the choreography, and I hope we can continue. But if the test were possible, I would do it without hesitation.

Periscope: Are there other Albanians in Tokyo, what do you have about them?

Mithat Hatziislam: In Tokyo and surrounding cities there are a total of about 30-35 Albanians, while throughout Japan around 100-120, mostly from Albania. As far as I know, everyone's safe and sound, and I wish they could stay like this all the time.

Otherwise, a dear friend of mine from Kosovo, who here has very little (maybe 1015), architect Dr. Dastid Ferati, who works at one of the most popular and famous universities in Japan and the world “The University of Tokyo”, has been blocked in Kosovo after going there for a project about the last earthquake in Albania, while all flights from there were canceled.

I hope he and all his loved ones stay healthy and get back to Tokyo as soon as possible.

Periscope: What is your advice to all Kosovars?

Mithat Hatziislam: My advice to all those living in Kosovo and Albanian lands is:

Be patient and stay at home so that you may save your own lives, your loved ones, and all others.

If you have to exit, then use your mask and do not listen to any of those who say otherwise, for if these masks were not used in China, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, and Japan, the situation would be much worse. In Japan and some other Asian states, the culture of mask use is old-fashioned, and make sure these countries possess a lot of studies and tests regarding the positive effects of carrying them.

Please also avoid any greetings of handshakes, hugs, or kisses.

In the end, I wish your readers and all Albanians everywhere to stay healthy.
