Kabashi, Kurti: State workers' salaries should not be increased, but private sector workers

Renowned journalist Bekim Kabashi has made a fair response to the Government of Kosovo, which has unintelligiblely decided to increase the wage of certain categories of public sector workers right when private sector workers face extraordinary problems. All of this comes at a time when [...]
All of this comes at a time when the distributive measures fighting the spread of the new coronavirus, Covid-19, are significantly damaging Kosovo's economy, just as it is damaging economies of other countries in the world.
But, the government's assistance to the private sector has been very small at the time when Periscope is most needed.
And that, according to journalist Kabashi, seems to be being done for political purposes by the current government.
“This Government has taken steps to increase revenues to certain categories of workers in the public sector, whose salaries are not at all jeopardised. Public sector workers receive their salaries from the state vault, and they are not at risk of being left without salaries or lowering them. But, quite the opposite is expected to happen with private sector workers. Private companies are not working, so they are not investing in revenues, and there is no way they can pay their workers. Or they'll fire them, and in the best option, their wages will be dropped. writes Mr. Kabashi.
While recently the newspaper Zeri has fired 20 workers, after which the Kosovo Journalists' Association action has reacted.
Kabashi has reacted to AGK reacting to the Kosovo government in this case as well.
Below Status
The AGK before reacting to the voice to the departure of 20 employees should respond to the Government, which the private sector is treating as an enemy. (Even though I don't want to justify Zer, because they are not excluded from the possibility that the coronavirus was used for justification. I don't want to judge, but that's not an exception. )
This Government has taken measures to increase revenues to certain categories of workers in the public sector, the sector where wages are not at all endangered.
But apparently the interest of this government in going, it is that as many people as possible will be out of work so that civil revolt will increase. They have also warned protests. People who are unemployed and out of income are always willing to express their displeasure.
So a government that is in the service of the citizen, in extraordinary situations like coronavirus, would have to help where he needs most, not on the basis of interest calculations.
