Implementation of fiscal emergency package in Kosovo municipalities begins

The Ministry of Finance and Transference (MFT) with a letter to the mayors of the municipalities has called for the start of implementing this move in the Kosovo municipalities.

The MFT letter says: “as you are informed the Government of the Republic of Kosovo has approved the Efficient Fiscal Pacon as the necessity of institutional response against the Covid19 pandemic. One of these measures is the 15th measure.

The measure says that the payment of monthly assistance worth 130 euros to citizens under serious social conditions, heralded as unemployed in the competent institution, which are no beneficiary of any monthly access from Kosovo's budget, for April, May and June, worth up to three million euros”.

The Ministry of Finance and Transfers, adds further that in line with the legal competencies of municipalities, we seek from the mayors of the Republic of Kosovo to engage staff at the Centres for Social Work to accept the applications of parties that have the right to benefit from the measure.
