Former Deputy Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has criticised the government in office for a decision he has recently made.
He said this decision barring Telekom services from the public procurement procedure limits free competition.
The decision of Government on duty, which excludes Telekom's services from public procurement procedures with the reasoning that it's an important state-of-the-art service, is co-unconstitutional because it limits free competition”, wrote Hoti on Facebook.
The procurement law can be excluded unless nonstandard military equipment is purchased, special means for AKI, police, KSF and cases of this nature. In fact, even in those cases, only open procurement procedures are excluded, and closed and negotiating procedures are implemented to ensure the value of money being paid”.
Hoti said telephone, cable television and internet services that Telekom offers are not special state service, but public services that everyone has in the family.
