The son of hero Hfir Shala, Gentrit, has reacted to today's statements by Szezen Gashi, adviser to incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who today said the KLA has killed innocent Serb civilians and KLA members must be punished.
Gentrit Shala has asked Albin Kurti to immediately dismiss his adviser while publicly inviting the Prosecutor to invite him and ask Kurti's advisor for facts about his claims that the KLA has killed over 1,000 civilians.
Gentris Shala's full statement:
Reaction to the tendencies of staining our past in the liberation war
I, Hero's son Hafir Shala, disguisingly reject the tendencies of self-defence, for our past, because the struggle for liberation was sacred, in accordance with all international norms and any tendency to tarnish it, is shameful and unacceptable.
The trend of staining our past has become the trend of a part of political parties, for daily benefit, and this trend does not do them or individuals motivated by this trend for the benefit of daily politics.
I am deeply moved with the statement of incumbent Prime Minister Shkelzen Gashi's adviser, who cast accusations that should be brought before the prosecution with arguments.
In the absence of arguments for statements in Mr. T7. Gashi in 24.4.2020, we ask the Prosecutor to take appropriate action against him and prevent the trend of unbased accusations not only by political parties but also individuals who speak without arguments in order to tarnish our past.
As hero Dr. Hfir Shala, from the incumbent prime minister, Mr. Kurti, requesting his adviser's immediate dismissal, Mr. Gashi, because he has offended our past, the century-old liberation defeat, the heroic past of the NLA martyrs, who, with the fair fight, also received support from NATO and the democratic world.
With honor,
Gentri Hafir Shala.
