Haliti tells of the measures taken against the spread of the Coronavirus in the year

Dear citizens!

The municipality of the year today has entered the second month under isolation, the cause of Pandemia with Coddy-19. This evil struck first year, but unfortunately it spread to other parts of the country. Once we realized that we already had the first cases of those infected in Kosovo, we immediately took the necessary measures, and two days earlier we had formed the Municipal Committee for Protection and Salvation. From that moment on, every day, in every form and all our might, we haven't stopped, but we've been serving citizens, trying to prevent the spread of the disease.

-In co-ordination with health and security components, in collaboration with institutions, associations, donors, village councils, religious communities and other mechanisms, we're committed to supporting you in all respects.

Health personnel, we put him on standby, front lines. And one section, as a precautionary measure, was self - satisfied with contact with the first infected.

We had possible first-case contact with David-19 but we also identified the cases that came from other countries.

-We're in constant contact with central institutions to co-ordinate actions. We secured protective equipment, such as gloves, masks, protective clothing, as well as medical equipment and storage materials.

-We co-ordinated and harmonised operations and activities with the Kosovo Police in the function of implementing measures and decisions of central institutions to prevent the spread of the virus.

- We sent medical teams for medical examinations, and we operated on two other health jobs and opened a new workshop. But we also treated other patients with chronic health problems.

-We held the essential services of municipal and public administration. But objects and public spaces are constantly disinfecting as well as chlorating and cleaning roads and sidewalks.

- Municipal institutions, administration, public services and other services and relevant management are also in the forefront of joint efforts to improve the situation.

- Because of the traffic limit, the economic situation is heavy. In this situation many donors came to our aid. Through them until now, we provided protective equipment for the medical staff, over 2,000 food and sanitation packages, and considerable amounts of flour and potatoes.

-We co-ordinated actions and decisions even with political subjects of the Committee of the Year, indiscriminately. So the Comunal Assembly separated 100,000 euros from the municipal budget to support the fight against the Coronavirus.

We were well-coordinated with village councils, as important links to our chain of work. Through them we communicated with citizens and were harmonised to distribute material goods for needy families. We also worked with organizations and other associations like the Red Cross, the Association “Mother Teresa”, etc.

We also worked closely with the media to reflect the situation and convey information and messages.

- Thank you all: health workers, police officials, technical workers, civil servants, village councils, the annual diaspora, donors, associations and organizations, education workers, individuals, political subjects, the media and all others... for the contribution you are making to improving the situation. - But, unfortunately, the last few days, the cases have increased. Moreover, according to professionals, we have now entered a more difficult phase, so attention and greater commitment are needed. Not just us, against pandemic, the whole world is fighting.
