Three McClean family members were infected with David-19 last month. Sydney McClean, the couple's daughter, was the only member of the family who showed no symptoms.
By researchers, it was found that the amount of virus in the dog named Winston was very low, so it would not be a possible mechanism or vector of virus transmission to other animals or people”, Chris Woods, chief researcher of the study, said.
Experts have stressed that there is no evidence that domestic animals play a role in the transmission of coronary.
Other animals that have tested positive so far are:
- Two cats in New York City.
- Eight lions and tigers at the Bronx Zoo.
- Two dogs under quarantine in Hong Kong.
