Coronervirus cancels activities for marking the Day of the Undiscovered

This has been made known by the Government Commission for Missing Persons in co-operation with the Co-ordination Council of the Family Associations of the Extinctions of Kosovo and the April 22, 1999 Association.
The Government Commission for Missing Persons in Co-operation with KKAFHDK and the April 22, 1999, Mej, invites the families of missing persons and all citizens who commemorate and fanfare for the missing and all fallen for the country's freedom this year to take place by respecting the measures appointed by competent institutions in preventing and fighting pandemics, through which mass gatherings are banned.
April 27th, the anniversary of the Meja Massacre, where 376 Albanians were killed and disappeared, but also the Day of Missing Persons, declared by the Parliament's decision to honour the victims of this massacre and all those missing as a result of the war in Kosovo, commemorates that there is no greater loss in war than the kidnapping and disappearance of the most loved ones.
The Government Commission for Missing Persons in Co-operation with Missing Persons Families Associations will continue to be committed and continued efforts for families of missing persons to ease the burden of waiting and anxiety to come to an end.
In this case, the international community is called on to increase pressure on Serbia to be more co-operative in the process, prior to opening the archives of the former Yugoslav Army and to provide information on the fate and whereabouts of missing persons.
Otherwise, 1641 people continue to be counted missing as a result of war.
