Over 70 thousand workers applied to benefit from the emergency fiscal package

Over 70 thousand employees of different private companies in Kosovo have applied for pay compensation in the Kosovo Tax Administration so as to benefit from the Kosovo government's emergency fiscal package.

ATK General Director Ilir Murtezaj said that since April 11th, the application through the online system has begun with the aim of profiting from the fiscal package and, to this day, in ATK, demand for compensation and sub-owned rent has presented a total of 2972 companies.

It for Kosova Prees, has announced that in the online system for pay compensation to 170 euros, a total of 62 thousand and 550 workers have applied for compensation to workers fired at ATK, a total of 671 workers have applied, while pay compensation for new workers is 4092 registered for the first time.

The Kosovo government has also earmarked 100 euros for all workers who have been endangered, and 2781 workers have applied to that category.

The requests that are related to the category Do we have 62 thousand and 550, category B we have 671, C category we have 4092 and they are 2781. So there are a total of demands for pay compensation, we have 70 thousand and 94 employees. It is the measure that is envisioned that in 100 euros the value of employing people who have been punished with citizens and as a result of their risk of being exposed to the risk of infection. Based on the government's decision and the emergency fiscal package, we have 2781 demands for workers”, he said.

Regarding the number of those applied for permission of movement, those businesses allowed to operate ATK director Ilir Murtezaj said 5 thousand tax claims were downloaded in order of the circulation.

From day to day, it's changing, and all those allowed are equipped with tax claims, and now they're very small to me, and they're like”, he stressed.

In order not to spread COVID19 pandemic, the government of Kosovo on March 13th has made a decision to close many businesses in the country.

To help businesses and other categories of society, the Government of Kosovo, with the proposal of the Ministry of Finance and Transfers, has approved the Fiscal Emergency Pack worth 179.6m euros, which must be implemented by the ATK.
