For more than a month, Kosovo has been facing the COVID-19 virus, the pandemic that has troubled almost the whole world.

To date, the number of infected in Kosovo is 604, 128 cured and 16 victims.

But besides that number, there are Kosovars who are infected with COVID-19, but are located abroad.

In a response given to Indexline from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 42 Kosovo citizens were told until yesterday that 42 Kosovo citizens were confirmed as affected by Corleone and 10 of them have changed their lives.

“According to data collected by our diplomatic missions, so far by the COVID-19 virus, 42 persons who are Kosovo citizens or who also have citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. Of these infected people, 10 have passed away, and according to family members, most victims have suffered from other chronic diseases, mainly diabetes or respiratory problems”, were told, among other things, in the response of the Media Office.

Among other things, it was stressed that these data have been collected from requests for documentation that victims' families in the Kosovo Embassy or Consulates in the diaspora have made.

“Embassys and Consulates of the Republic of Kosovo, in addition to understanding agreements with governments of economic countries for continuing residence permits for all our citizens, without risking penaltys, and organisations for Kosovo's organised returns, after registering emergency cases, have made efforts to collect even data for our citizens who have been affected by the COVID 19 virus. This data is unofficial, because public health institutions maintain citizens' privacy and do not provide such personal information, ethnic affiliation or patient origin. This data has been collected from the requests for documentation made by the families of the victims in our Embassys or Consulates, as well as from the contacts our diplomats have with fellow countrymen and association representatives in the Diasporas”, the MPJ said.

This minister has also invited all fellow countrymen to have patience and caution until the transition of this difficult situation for all mankind.

In addition, other relevant institutions that continue to deal closely with the COVIID-19 pandemic have asked citizens to keep an eye on hygiene, to have contact with people in general, and to stay at home as much as possible.

Last night Kosovo had good news after a long time, where the number of infected people suffered severe declines, which increased hope that this pandemic in the country is coming to an end. /Indesksonline/
