Vuciq: New withdrawals of Kosovo recognition expected

Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq has said in Washington that his country would suspend diplomatic actions to withdraw recognition of Kosovo's independence if Albanians stop demanding that Serbia recognise Kosovo. “Do not seek recognition, we will not make recognition. “Do not seek recognition, we will not make recognition. But they never wanted to accept it,” said Vuciq, adding that Pristina believes Serbia's diplomatic action to convince countries that recognise Kosovo to withdraw recognition “damages their position as an independent state. ”
He reiterated that Serbia is ready for talks if Pristina lifts the tariffs.
“When Albanians withdraw their tariffs, we are willing to talk about the basics,” told reporters in Washington.
Vuciq also said the United States did not seek any concessions from Serbia in exchange for removing the fee from Kosovo.
“We can only discuss something that is essential when the tax is lifted,” said Vuciq.
As a problem, he said he cannot see at this moment what compromise solution can be offered, and that, as he said, both sides are equally unhappy.
He also said he will discuss the issue with German Chancellor Merkel within days.
And what's important is that dialogue should continue, not underestimate each other, because there are no winners here. We must live side by side for the next hundred years”, Vuciq said.
He also announced that new withdrawals of Kosovo's recognition are expected in the coming days.
