In favour of Chmygal's candidacy, proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky, 291 MPs voted.
The previous “government did everything it could, but today Ukrainians need a government that will do the impossible and will work for people”, the president said, introducing his candidate to MPs.
Chmygal, 45, promised before the vote that he would deal immediately with the challenges facing the country in order to avoid an economic crisis, develop the industry and improve the investment climate.
