Thaci's adviser: Contour Global withdrew because of this Government, Kurti is jeopardising the existence of Kosovo state

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's adviser, Artan Behrami, has reacted after news that the Contour Global Company has withdrawn for construction of the New Kosovo thermal power plant.

Behram has written that this company has withdrawn because of the opposition of Kurti Government.

The US company planning to invest over 1.5 billion euros in the construction of the “New Kosovo plant, which today withdrew from this investment, due to opposition from the Kurti” government, he said.

Behrami says that with this project, America has been aiming to independent Kosovo of Serbia and Russia's dependence on the energy sector.

According to the president's adviser, Prime Minister Albin Kurti is jeopardising the existence of the state of Kosovo.

The Kosovo government's threats against American investments today took shape. The American company planning to invest over 1.5 billion euros in the construction of the <x0) thermal power plant, New Kosovo's”, today withdrew from the investment, due to opposition from the Kurti Government.

The political situation in Kosovo since July, the formation of a government led by a prime minister who publicly rejected the project and the government's inaction has made it impossible for the project to meet the required constitutional obligations”, the American statement said.

With this project, America intended to independent Kosovo from Serbia and Russia's dependence on the energy sector.
