Thaci has stated via Twitter that based on his constitutional duties as president, he has assembled the National Security Council and signed the decree for declaring the state of emergency following the situation created by the Coronavirus.
He has called on MPs to come together and ratify that decree proposed by him.
“Based on my constitutional competencies as president, following today's meeting with the Kosovo Security Council, I have signed a decree for declaring the Emergency State following the situation created by COVID-19. I call on parliament to join and ratify it”, the president has written”, Thaci wrote.
We remember that Deputy Prime Minister Hakki Abazi went against this Thaci decree, while LDK's reaction to Minister Agim Veliu, who said that the state of emergency should be declared in Kosovo.
