Health facilities are continuing testing for COVID-19, according to the definition of the case, for each suspected case, at the Virology Laboratory near Albania's Institute of Public Health, where the total number of cases tested has gone to 59. All the cases have resulted negative for COVID-19.
The cases have had signs of respiratory infection and travel stories with places where there is epidemic and communitarian outbreaks of new coronary.
Tested cases so far belong mainly to Tirana, Shkodra, Durres, Fier, Lezha and Vlora.
The ISHP has laboratory capacity to complete COVID-19 diagnosis, and we have the capacity needed for this phase where we are but for other stages, for having a reaction to analysis. We run tests according to the definition of the case.
The Technical Committee for COVIDD-19 has determined how to handle cases one and further towards clinical management, as well as following contact persons and quarantine.
The Infective hospital will be the hospital that will manage the first cases, with a staff assigned and trained, and depending on the number of cases have been designated hospitals COVID 1 and COVID 2 and hospitals and medical staff to which existing patients will be displaced.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection recommends for travelers who have travelled from the areas affected by communitarian explosions and who have had contact with people who are sick or suspected of COVID19 to self-curantinate for a 14-day period.
As well as recommending citizens who have travelled to affected countries and have signs of viral respiratory infection to call 127 to get the needed instructions on how to act based on their health.
