Kamenica Mayor Central Kastrati has said that only Coronavirus has been affected in this municipality so far.
We currently have one identified by the village of Topanica, a 42-year-old who entered Kosovo on 19 March. He has been the driver of one of the Kosovo-German lines of an agency that is Kosovo company”.
Kastrati has told Klan Kosova that quarantine of villages should no longer be done.
At this stage of developing this pandemic, I think quarantine is no longer a functional way. After specific cases we've agreed to the central level that can isolate the village with other countries until we identify all potential contacts and persons that may be infected”.
“The challenge is that the rest of the citizens are feeling comfortable and that they can move freely. During the hours when the circulation is prohibited should not be moved at all, and when allowed it should be for supply or family needs”.
Even the most developed countries in the world are not prepared for such pandemics. We've taken precautions. The police are not supplied enough and I thank donors for helping us with equipment. We're constantly trying to disinfect objects where there's flow”, he added by talking about measures taken around COVID-19.
