Kosovo's corrective service today has suspended work permits outside the correctional institution for prisoner A. H, since the same has not been present at the workplace.
“During the visit of corrective officials through job locations at one of the locations has resulted in the conviction A.H. has not been present at the workplace under the agreement, so given the competencies the General Directorate of the Kosovo Correcting Service has made a decision to suspend the same work permit outside the institution”, said the USKK's announcement.
The SHKK has started implementing Administrative Guides at the Smrekonica Open-type corrective Centre for the work of prisoners outside the correctional institution, with what cases so far from that decision benefiting fourteen convicts.
“The work of prisoners outside the correctional institution is a necessary activity towards successful resocialisation and preparing them to return to society as responsible and useful individuals for society. With this Administrative Direction, the USKK aims at implementing its legal mission to prevent future crime repeating, aimed at a society governing order and law, so such abuses are unacceptable and will never be tolerant of such acts”, the report said.
