The robot is scheduled to operate at specific time intervals, the Kosovo Press broadcasts.
Since last year, the hospital has been equipped with an air and surface disinfectant machine that has to destroy all dangerous microbes.
The vehicle works without human intervention, can be programmed by remote control to operate at a specified time interval and is now used at the maximum capacity in patients' departments to protect the sanitation staff, as well as the patient, a Constanta municipality statement said.
Such robots are also used in hospitals in China for disinfectation in the fight against corruption, but also in Taiwan, Italy, Great Britain, Denmark, Japan or the United Arab Emirates.
