Meanwhile, in general hospitals in Mitrovica, Peja, Gjilan, Vushtrri, Gjakova, Prizren and Ferizaj, there are a total of 22 respiratories, which can be used for patients in need, officials say at KKUK.
Respirators are used to filter air from polluting to patients affected by serious diseases.
Up until now, five people affected by Covid-19 have been confirmed in Kosovo, the disease caused by Coronobrus.
The new Coronavirus causes breathing difficulties, coughs, and fever.
There are also some private hospitals in Kosovo, but, according to officials at the Ministry of Health, no agreement has been made yet, whether these private hospitals will accept or not the patients for coronary treatment.
Faik Hoti, director of the Health Ministry's Information Department, said that for the time being the main centre for treating cases with clear clinical signs and affected with the new coronary is the Infectious Clinic at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo.
If there's even a general hospital infectious department, if there's going to be any need for reorganizations of clinics or services in the function of clinical treatment of cases. There is no private infectious hospital in Kosovo. If they encounter suspicious cases, they recommend them to the public sector. Both sectors are obliged to co-operate, within instructions for the management of suspicious or confirmed cases”, Hoti said.
So, as far as private hospitals are concerned, I think it's too early to ask for something of them, as long as we have capacities in the public sector”, he said.
Otherwise, for preventing the spread of the new coronary, the Kosovo government has decided to undertake several preventive measures, including closing schools at all levels until 27 March.
The implementation of preventive measures against David-19, which the Government of Kosovo has undertaken, is being monitored by relevant authorities, while the co-operation of citizens is also required for these preventive measures to succeed.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, on Friday, has said that Health Minister Arben Vitita has proposed that the government has four more representatives, the Minister of Infrastructure and Environment, the representative of the Infectious Clinic, representatives of the National Public Health Institute and the Centre of Situations at the Security Council.
We invite all citizens to stay at home and contact over the phone and not go directly to family medical centers”, Prime Minister Kurti has said.
Kosovo's government has allocated 10m euros to combat the spread of the new coronary.
