The UNICEF office in Kosovo has provided some advice for parents in terms of steps to be followed for protection from the coronary.

What is the new geonavirus “”?

New Coronavirus ( CoV is a new type of coronary.

The disease caused by the new choreography identified for the first time in Huhan, China, has been named as the coronary disease 2019 (COVID-19) No. COH means throon, VIU stands for the virus, and DI for the disease. Earlier, this disease was referred to as the new Coronavius 2019 or 2019 inConV. )

The COVID-19 virus is a new virus linked to the same family of viruses as Respiratory Respiratory Reserval System (SARS) and some types of common cooling.

How does COVID-19 spread?

The virus is transmitted through direct contact with the liquid breathing matter of an infected person (generated through coughing and sneezing), and the touch of surfaces contaminated with the virus. COVIDD-19 can survive on the surface for several hours, but common disinfectants can kill the virus.

What are the symptoms of the coronary?

Symptoms can include fever, coughing, and panting. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia or respiratory difficulties. In rare cases the disease can be fatal.

These symptoms are similar to common flu or colds, which are far more common than COVID-19. That's why it's required to test to confirm that someone has COVID-19. It is important to keep in mind that the main measures of prevention are the same as the frequent washing of hands and the hygiene of respiratory leafing (on coughing or sneezing) cover your mouth with the curd part of a belt or bandage, then throw your bandage into a closed basket). There is also a flu vaccine, so don't forget to take care of your vaccination and your child.

How can I avoid the risk of infection?

The following are four precautions that you and your family can take to avoid infection:

1. Wash your hands often by using soap and water or by cleaning hands that contain alcohol.

2. Cover your mouth and nose with the noose of your elbow or bandages when coughing or sneezing, and throw your bandages into a closed basket.

3. Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or cold symptoms

4. Seek medical attention immediately if you or your child has fever, cough, or respiratory difficulties

Should I use a medical mask?

Using a medical mask is recommended if you have symptoms in your respiratory or respiratory leaflet (school or sneezing) to protect others. If you don't have symptoms, then there's no need to use a mask.

If masks are kept, they must be used and destroyed properly to ensure their effectiveness and avoid increased risk of transmission of the virus.

Only the use of a mask is not enough to prevent infection and must be combined with frequent washing of hands, covering in case of sneezing and coughing, and avoiding close contact with anyone who has symptoms similar to those of cold or flu (school, sneezing, fever).

Does COVIDD-19 affect children?

This virus is young and is not known enough about how it affects children or pregnant women. What is known is that people of any age can be infected by the virus, but so far there have been relatively few cases of COVID-19 reported among children. The virus is fatal in rare cases, so far mainly among the existing elderly.

What should I do if my child has symptoms of COVID-19?

Ask for medical attention, but remember that it is the flu season in the Northern Hemisphere, and the symptoms of COVID-19 such as coughs or fevers may be similar to those of the flu, or the common cold that are much more frequent.

Continue to pursue good practices of respiratory and hand - brushing, such as regular washing of hands, and take care of the vaccine ʹ so that your child can be protected from other viruses and bacteria that cause disease.

As with other respiratory infections like the flu, seek medical attention immediately if you or your child have symptoms and try to avoid going out in public places (work, school, public transportation) to prevent spread.

What should I do if a family member shows symptoms?

You should seek medical attention immediately if you or your child have fever, cough, or breathing difficulties. Make sure you call your doctor in advance to inform him if you have traveled to an area where cases of COVIDD-19 have been reported, or if you have been in close contact with someone who has traveled from one of these areas and has symptoms of respiratory leafing.

Should I Stop My Child From School?

If your child has symptoms, seek medical attention and follow medical guidelines. Otherwise, as with other respiratory infections like the flu, keep your child safe at home during symptoms, and avoid going to public places to prevent spread.

If your child does not show symptoms such as fever or cough, and if no official public health remarks have been issued or any other official warning or advice involving your child's school, then send your children to school.

Instead of keeping your children at home, teach them good practices of hand hygiene and respiratory leavers who can practice in school and elsewhere, such as the frequent cleaning of hands (see below), mouth coverings on coughing or sneezing, either bending the elbow or using the bandages, then throwing that bandage into a closed basket, no blink of eyes, mouth or nose if they have not cleaned their hands well.

What is the best way to clean hands properly?

Step 1: Wash hands with flowing water

Step 2: Place enough soap sauce to cover both hands

Step 3: Rub all the surfaces of your hands, including the back of your hands, between your fingers, and under your fingernails for at least 20 seconds.

Step 4: Wash your hands with flowing water

Step 5: Dry your hands with a clean rag or a towel for just one use

Clean your hands often, especially before eating; after cleaning your nose, coughing or sneezing; and after using the toilet.

If you do not have soap and water available, use alcohol - based hand cleaning that contains at least 60% alcohol. Always wash your hands with soap and water if your hands look dirty.
