Despite promises, children's additions remain only on paper

Mentor Morina, from the Office for Information at the Ministry of Labour and Social Management, told Radio Kosovo that after the document concept has been compiled, it is expected what the new government's approach to this process will be.
The distribution of additions for children worth 10 euros has yet to begin, promised since last year. They will not even take all children to Kosovo, Mentor Morina told Radio from the Office for Information at the Ministry of Labour and Social Management. According to him, additions will only belong to children of lower - income families.
All families that are part of the social assistance scheme will have an additional 10 euros for every child of families who get low incomes. But it is very important to consider the recommendations that will come from the new government programme”, Morina said.
Kelvis Vaqari, dealing with child protection from Organisation “KOMF” told Kosovo Radio that once the restructuring between the ministry and the government is achieved, responsibility will be sought by institutions responsible regarding the additions of children.
The most finalised structure, we will immediately seek out where the programmes that were adopted earlier, and where they are in the government agenda of this newly formed”, Vaqar said.
