Adil Behramaj, adviser to President Hashim Thaci, through a Facebook post has criticised Prime Minister Albin Kurti's approach to northern municipalities, saying they are out of control of the Kosovo government in fighting the corruption pandemic.
Behramaj has said that incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti, over the years, had criticised past governments for failing to extend full authority in the north, while now not even mentioning northern municipalities and the pandemic situation there, which is being managed by Serbia, Periscope follows.
Total post of Adil Behramaj:
Kosovo's northern municipalities are completely out of government management control in resignations for COVID-19 pandemic.
The outgoing prime minister has full words of consciousness for fighting pandemic, but in northern municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo, the measures of our government are not being implemented, but those of the Government of Serbia. Cutting off the school and the police hour in the country's north have started with the decisions of the Government of Serbia, not the decisions of the Government of Kosovo. The directives being implemented in the north by the authorities and citizens of the Serbian community, either for physical distance or for health care, are directed by the Government of Serbia.
Management the pandemic situation should extend to the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo. The government is tasked with ensuring that the measures taken by the responsible institutions of the Republic of Kosovo are implemented in every corner of the country.
Albin Kurti, a two-decade-long opposition, has accused past governments of incompletely expanding authority in the northern municipalities of the country, while now he is not even talking about this sensitive situation, which requires his reaction directly.
The difference between citizens of all communities in Kosovo, his government has done it in organising the online platform for pre-university learning, completely excluding Serbian students from digital platform educational programmes.
