Kosovo police have provided details about the raid on Kosovo Telecom on alleged “misuse of official duty or authority” and “the binding of the harmful contract”.
Today, with the date of 6,3.2020 around 0900 Kosovo Police, in this case the Special Anti-Corruption Department (Task Anti-Corruption Force), based on the Pristina Constitutional Court's ordinance, the RS Crime Department, has conducted a police operation on Kosovo Telekom, under suspicion of allegedly misusing office or official authority, and the binding of the harmful contract. The police operation has included the raid of four (4) Kosovo Telecom offices, central offices in Pristina, with the goal of finding material evidence related to allegations raised about signing a contract in December 2019, where it is suspected that Kosovo Telekom's budget is uglier than a hundred thousand (10000). Four (4) persons who are being interviewed on suspicion of involvement in criminal acts are accompanied by police in connection with official duty or authority and the binding of the harmful contract”, the Kosovo Police Community says.
Kosovo police during the search at these locations have seized some relevant evidence that relates to the case as documents, electronic devices, mobile phones, etc., evidence that will be processed according to legal procedure.
All further police actions will be taken in consultation and co-ordination with the competent prosecutor of the case.
