Vetevendosje Movement Headship member Arberie Nagavci, formerly deputy head of the Kosovo Parliament, told Radio Free Europe that there is no reason to turn back Prime Minister Albin Kurti's decision to dismiss Agim Veliu from the position of Interior Minister and Public Administration.
I think that the decision that was made regarding Veliu's dismissal was a decision that was being analysed and was not made for whims or there. So there is no reason for changing circumstances, so the decision can be turned back”, Nagavci said.
Kurti has fired Veliun this week, saying he has come up against the government's positions for the state of emergency in relation to the coronary. According to Kurti, Veliu has also caused panic about the disease.
Veliu's “Declarations have been irresponsible and could create confusion in citizens”, Nagavci said.
Veliu's dismissal has led the Democratic League of Kosovo partner parties in the ruling coalition, from which Veliu came to warn the no-confidence motion against Kurti government.
On Friday, LDK chairman Isa Mustafa has asked Kurti to withdraw the decision on Veliu's dismissal.
