Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti during a panel for regional co-operation, organised by the Oda of Afarism in Kosovo, said his government will work on increasing the minimum wage in the private sector.
It is absurd that the minimum wage in the public sector is over 500 euros, where in the last five years it has risen for 100 euros. This increase has not taken place for 15 euros in the private sector either. The state must help here because it cannot be okay and can't pay under 350 euros”, Kurti said.
Furthermore, Kurti added that reciprocity is a value before it is a measure of counter-invention.
This is because we have to act as an independent state, as we are. Reciprocity is worth before it is as a displacement measure”, the government's first said.
He also added that customs barriers between Kosovo and Albania must be overcome.
“Barrierat with Albania exceed our differences in dialects. Anomalies are many. Border taxes must be lifted. It is absurd that Albanian citizens should have work permits to get residence permits and vice versa”, Kurti said.
