Krasniqi: Thaci accounts for his work and activities

This demand has been misappreciated and contrary to the country's Constitution.

The president does not answer the Assembly for his work and activities, is completely independent, so said Online Economy Albert Krasniqi from Democracy Plus (D+).

Krasniqi stressed that his activity in the US has not been an urgent issue, and the leadership is not obliged to call such a session.

The president's request was originally called to the wrong provisions of the Constitution to request an annual report which the president has guaranteed with the Constitution. The president reports at the end of the year and for all his activity over a year. Now this requirement to report on a single activity rather than dealing with it as an urgent matter does not constitute a matter that the Parliament had to examine urgently”.

If it was called to the constitution's article, then the leadership was supposed to be obliged to call an extraordinary session. The president does not account for his work and activities. He is completely independent in meeting his” activities, Krasniqi said.

Among other things, Krasniqi argued that such activity, without any agreement, had to be made at the media conference.

“Keeping media conferences is a common practice that the president and other presidents apply. Such a way of visit could be done in this form without having to invite a session and report to the Assembly. As the president from America said, this meeting has been of goodwill, nothing has been signed, and there has been no compatibility of”, Krasniqi said.

President Hashim Thaci, following negative response from the Parliament's Headship, has held the media conference.
