A 72-year-old Italian priest died of koronobius after deciding that the respirator who had been bought by church collaborators had donated a younger patient.
Giseppe Berardelli from Italy's most hit region, Lombardia, died in a local hospital after diagnosing the coronary.
Church servants had bought him a respirator because of the lack of such equipment in public hospitals, but he had decided to donate a younger patient whom he did not know but who had trouble breathing.
Age and the exact state of this patient are unknown, but new patients with access to respiratory approaches are far more likely for survival, writes “Daily Mail”, Report Express.
This particular case was announced by priest James Martin of the United States, who also serves as an adviser at the Vatican Secretariat of Communication.
Priest Berardelli was noted for his deeds of charity, and he was also known for his love of motorcycles.
Berardelli is among at least 60 priests who have died of the Coronavirus in Italy.
