On 12 March it is scheduled to hold the EU Council's next meeting responsible for abolishing visas for Kosovo, but it is estimated that the likelihood is minimal at this meeting to give the green light to the free movement of Kosovars.
Although EU states continue not to be unified on this process, Kosovo's Ministry of Integration says 2020 is hopeful for visa liberalisation, the Voice writes.
Since September 2018, when the European Parliament gave the green light for abolishing visas for Kosovars, there has still been no turning point in the process. According to the European Union, liberalisation for Kosovo has to be unified, which currently do not share the same position for Kosovo.
EU Office chief Natalia Apostova called on Kosovo authorities on Monday in a statement of media to lobby so that they can convince EU member states that visa liberalisation will occur as soon as possible.
