Deputy Prime Minister Hakki Abazi seems to have failed to convince the US official statement, under which there is no security plan for exchange of territories between Kosovo and Serbia. Ahaz has delivered a statement by former Trumpet for National Security Adviser John Bolton, who was dismissed by the American president.
According to this article published in August 2018, Bolton had said that the United States supports an agreement reached by Kosovo and Serbia, not excluding even the topic of borders.
Our “policies, US policies, is that if two sides can reach each other to make deals, we don't even rule out the border. It's none of our business to say”, Bolton said.
Meanwhile last night with a joint statement, Trump's emissary for Kosovo dialogue Serbia, Richard Green, American Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costnett and Matthew Palmer, engaged by the State Department for the Western Balkans, said there is no secret agreement to exchange territories, nor Ambassador Green has ever seen anything like this.
