Polluted air is known for its lung and heart damage and is responsible for at least 8 million premature deaths a year, writes The Guardian, a report by Periscope.
This health damage means that respiratory infections, such as the Coronavirus, may have the most serious impact on cities with contaminated air problems.
However, strict straining measures in China, where the coronary exploded, and in Italy, the most vulnerable nation in Europe, have led to a decline in air pollution, as fewer vehicles are being driven and industrial emissions are falling.
A preliminary calculator by an American expert suggests that tens of thousands of premature deaths from contaminated air may have been prevented in China, many more than 3 thousand and 208 deaths by Coronavirus.
Experts have stressed, however, that no one can claim that the pandemic can be good for health and that a final study has yet to be done.
In particular, they said, other indirect impacts of the coronary, due to lost wages and lack of treatment for other diseases, could be huge.
While urban air pollution has declined dramatically in developing countries, the understanding of the damage caused has increased, and poisoned air has increased to extreme novels in developing countries, such as India. /Periscope
