European Commission today publishes Albania Reform Progress Report

The European Commission is expected today to publish the report on the performance of reforms Albania has undertaken.

The issue of accession talks for Albania and northern Macedonia in the European Union, which was blocked last October, could take a positive turn, depending on the report to be published today.

Commissioner for Enlargement Oliver Warhely said he hopes with reports the Commission will publish for both countries to convince all members of the bloc.

Albania and Northern Macedonia were denied the start of accession talks last October, as France and a small group of countries urged reforms within the European bloc.

The European Commission report is expected to be made public by 12:00.
