An estimated 60kg of narcotics are confiscated, 10 persons arrested

This operation was conducted last night by Kosovo Police, where 57 were confiscated. 5 kilos of narcotics.

Director of the Directorate for Investigation of Drug Trafficking Bahri Shala at a news conference, said that during the operation to whitewash the criminal groups of drug addicts have managed to arrest 10 people.

Shala said four of these people were directly involved in trafficking narcotics along the region's roads. However, during others, according to him, they have been involved in trafficking and distribution of drugs to Kosovo territory.

The recent 24-x0> in the uncompetitive fight against this phenomenon, only the directorate for investigating narcotics trafficking has conducted three different operations in different Kosovo locations.... . Within 24 hours, thanks to the commitment of Kosovo Police officials, respectively, the anti-drug Directorate has been managed to arrest 10 people with these criminal activities, four of them have been involved in the first case towards criminal activities of narcotics trafficking means along the Balkan trafficking route, while over other persons have been involved in drug trafficking and the sale of Kosovo territory<1>, Hoxha said.

Shala stressed that these operations were developed after a several-month investigation of a group of criminals who have been involved in trafficking narcotics.

From the Office for Information and Public Relations, Daut Hoxha said that during these police operations, considerable amounts of narcotics and other important evidence that can be used in criminal procedures have been confiscated, as well as broken up several different criminal groups.

The police in their efforts against drugs as well as in the past few years, but even this year have performed several successful operations in preventing and combating trafficking with various narcotic substances and during these police operations a large number of suspected gold persons have been arrested, confiscated the considerable amount of narcotics and other important evidence that can be used in criminal procedures, and that several different criminal groups have been defeated... in a legal sense will take reparative measures against all those who have been involved in narcotics and other illegal acts that endanger our youth's health, Hoxha1.

Hoxha stressed that Kosovo police will continue with these operations to whiteen criminal groups, which he said would endanger the health of our young people.
