Low interest in election monitoring in Podujevo tomorrow draws lots for rankings in balloting

The Central Election Commission has announced that tomorrow there is a drawing of lots for the rankings of candidates and political subjects in the ballot for the extraordinary election for mayor of the Podujevo municipality, which will be held on March 15th. CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi said that drawing lots for the candidates' rankings [...]
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi said the withdrawal of the lot for the candidates' rankings and political subjects is designed to hold on March 2nd and that representatives of political subjects who have been certified have been invited to participate in these elections.
The Central Election Commission has carried out legal and technical preparations to organise the withdrawal of lots for the rankings of candidates and political subjects in the balloting of these elections, which will be held on March 15th. This event is preemptive to be held during Monday's day, on March 2nd, and representatives of political subjects who have been certified by the CEC to participate in these elections”, Elesi said.
As for the election campaign, Elez indicated that between 3 March and 13 March, candidates have the opportunity to carry out their election campaign.
“From the date 3 to 13 March, political subjects and candidates can develop their election campaign with the aim of gaining voter support for this municipality, so there are 11 days available to political subjects and candidates to conduct their activities under the electoral campaign”, Elez said.
Elez made it known that only one media media has so far expressed interest in holding the vote on Election Day.
Until today, the CEC has accredited only one group of observers, it is about observers or representatives of a medium who have expressed interest in conveying voting on election day, and then other activities that are held in the QNR, of course we expect over the coming days to accept other applications from subjects that may require application to accredited as observers of these elections. The deadline for application for accreditation of policy subjects and nongovernmental organisations is until March 10th, while for international observers and media representatives by 12 March... ... we should mention that only accredited observers can convey the election process on election day and then the process under way in the CNR after election day”, Elesi said.
Otherwise, the extraordinary election for mayor of the Podujevo municipality will be held after the mayor of this municipality, Agim Veliu, has resigned from that position to become minister of Internal Affairs.
