Kosovo is facing the pandemic of the COVIID-19 virus, but it is also mired in a political crisis after the Democratic League of Kosovo decided to exit the ruling coalition due to the failure to lift Agim Veliu's fee and dismissal from the post of interior minister.
The no-confidence motion has been handed over to the Kosovo Assembly on Friday, while the leadership of this institution will meet to set up a session when the Kurti government's collapse is expected after all opposition parties have backed the LDK initiative.
These developments have taken no pleasure in the citizens who, for several nights, are protesting from their pots with noise.
As for the battle with COVIED-19, on Sunday the first Corleone patient, 82-year-old from Podujevo, passed away to 33.
Prime Minister Albin K wisdom and Health Minister Arben Vitita said the following two weeks are crucial to fighting the COVID-19 virus by inviting citizens to follow expert recommendations.
Vitita even warned that she has asked the prime minister for additional measures related to limiting the movement of citizens and vehicles.
While Kosovo President Hashim Thaci says he is ready to declare the state of emergency as he urged co-operation among state institutions.
The state's “Institutions must be available, in case they need to be declared immediately. Working together we will also overcome this task”, he wrote on Facebook.
