Education Minister Besa Sahini appeared at a news conference following the decision made by the government to suspend the teaching for two weeks after confirming the two cases with Covid-19.
Minister Sahin explains that the school suspension starts from today to March 23rd and extends throughout the education system, from the pre-school one to the top.
Minister Sahin said she would start implementing the plan for teachers to stay in touch with parents through social networks to inform students of the lessons and duties they will perform during the time they stay at home.
“We have instructed school leaders to shut down today and instruct students on the tasks and lessons they must carry out over the next two weeks. The decision also applies to pre-school and higher, public and private education institutions. The reason is to curb the spread of Avid-19 that has appeared on two occasions. The move is preventative, there is no need for panic. We are making a plan for all school principals to guide teachers to stay in touch with their parents so that students can learn from home. Social networks help us because parents can communicate with teachers through them to instruct children from house”, said Minister Sahin.
