Another Coronavirus case confirmed in Podujevo

The National Institute of Public Health has indicated that another case of coronarys has been confirmed in Kosovo.

It's about a 55-year-old girl from the village of Bradash of Podujevo.

From the date 08.02,2020 to 18,03.20, at the Medieval Microbiology Laboratory in IKSHPK with the RT- The PCR, a total of 308 suspicious samples in the SARS-CoV-2 virus have been tested, and a total of twenty cases have resulted in positive.

Today, 18,03.2020 has confirmed a positive case of the SARS-CoV-2 virus: The confirmed case is a contact case from the village of Bradash-Podujevo, the female sex age 55

A total of 2.414 calls have been accepted at the call center so far, while 370 phone calls have been accepted in the last 24 hours.

Between 01.02,2020 and 18,03,20 at the International Airport “Adem Jashari”, as well as at the border crossings, a total of 13,316 travelers have been dedicated. At the “Adem Jashari” 519 travellers, Merdare 4,780, Vermica 3,726, Jarinje 887, Andu e White 801, Hani of Elez 1.258, Tower 744, Qafe Morine 44, Bernjak 394, Qafe Prush 28, Muchibaba 134 and Globocica 1 traveler.

Kosovo's National Public Health Institute (IKSHPK) is being conveyed with increased vigilance to the epidemiology situation with COVID-19, monitoring all cases of contacts, as well as those recommended for home self-isolation.

QRSHP teams in relevant regions are on the ground and are contacting contacts of positive cases with COVID-19 for strict oversight for 14 days, recommending that individuals be self-solated and those with symptoms be notified at the infectious clinic.

In the IKKPK over 24 hours are constantly being contacted and monitored by all case contacts, as well as contact contacts due to self-issuance and seek medical assistance if they have symptoms.
