IKosovo's National Public Health Institute confirmed today eight new cases with Covid-19, raising the total to 79. Four cases are in Vushtrri Studies, three from Pristina, and one with residence in Llugagji, Pec.
The Chairman of the Vatican, Xhafer Tahiri, has said over the phone that there is no room for panic.
I don't see a place to panic in Vushtrri, but we have to be careful. All measures of government and emergency staff are being implemented, so I hope we will succeed in the end, all together”, Tahiri said.
In the case that yesterday has proved positive by this municipality, Tahiri has said it is contact with the first patient, and that the same patient has not received samples on the 19th after there were no signs.
He has stressed that he is not running charges against the institute, or other institutions, except that the property was taken yesterday and that yesterday has resulted in positive.
“Restin was sent on 19th to the Infective Clinic, but no samples were taken since there were no signs. Then, on the 25th, she was tested and proved positive. Test samples may be limited. I'm not accusing the Institute of Public Health or any other institution, we're all together in this battle. We all need to be vigilant”, he said.
He said they are in touch with families and will provide support to all citizens within the competencies they have as municipalities.
The number of people affected by Covid-19 in Kosovo has reached 79, while incumbent Health Minister Arben Vitita has announced today that the first case ever healed in Kosovo has been officially marked.
We finally have the good news. One of the patients even after the second test turned negative. According to WHO recommendations, when we have two negative samples of a person with one day's distance, they show recovery from COVID-19. Officially we have the first person cured by COVID-19 in Kosovo”, Vitita said.
