“in this difficult time caused by Pandemia COVID-19, the Authority encourages the parties to find a solution to the issue.
Also, the AKK wants to remind the Milly Association that the ban on production in an organised way could constitute violations of the Law on Protection of Competition. More specifically such behavior is viewed as “cartel”, limiting or controlling production, markets, technical development or investments”, the report says.
The author calls on the Society to redo the decision, or otherwise the AKK will take the necessary measures, based on mandate and laws in force.
You recall that the Fines for violating the law on the protection of competition are up to 10% of the annual circulation, and 3,000 euros will be convicted of organising.
So at the time when the country faces economic consequences because of its pandemic, The AKK wants to avoid decisions that lead to further worsening the status of business operators in the country.
As we have announced, over the past few weeks, the AKK has been committed to market monitoring to see if the operators have made prospecies prices rise contrary to laws or other anti-competitive behaviour”
