The number of patients increased by 1,797 within 24 hours, so there are a total of 9,117 infected, said Health Commissioner Angelo Borelli.
According to data, 333 people died in the Lombardy region alone, and another 5,469 were infected.
2,820 people are being treated in hospitals, 440 of which are in intensive care, broadcast KosovaPress.
