Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, said today that he expects a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, this month he has been reluctant to add that he does not exclude a meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Vuciq also said it is good to warn the removal of the tax that has caused great damage, and added that the upcoming dialogue will be under Berlin's great influence, the Metro newspaper broadcast.
Vuciq was guest on morning programme on Serbian public television RTS and the new stance towards Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti was evidently softer than compared to what he said to Montenegrins.
“does not rule out the possibility of meeting with Albin Kurti. It's good to announce the tax removal that's caused us huge damage”. He added that it would be good to “we talk about the future of Albanians and Serbs, these conversations should always be, and it is always better to talk. And better for people in Serbia to speak ill of me and spit on every one of us until we talk and maintain peace”.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has not stated that taxes will be removed literally, but has declared it will be replaced by reciprocity, without being greatly deepened in detail. Yesterday Prime Minister Kurti for Voice of America had declared that he does not expect much progress this year in dialogue with Serbia towards an agreement, but did not rule out that it is possible to have a final agreement between Serbia and Kosovo in 2020.
While Vuciq was also declared in Serbia today for Serbian media reports, which will be Miroslav Lajcak, the outgoing minister of Slovakia's foreign affairs, appointed as the EU representative for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. He said he can't even deny or claim such information but can't exclude it as well.
He added, as he had done before, that however events should run with dialogue, the Kosovo negotiation process- Serbia will be under the great influence of Berlin. He had never looked too pleased with this fact before, since as “said it would be very difficult for us”. He in the same case had complained that “compromis was killed”.
