President Moon Jae said the recent explosion of the Coronavirus, now known as COVID-19, has arrived at a crucial moment and the next “will be extremely critical”, writes Independent, translates Periscopi.
This is the first time that South Korea has placed the alert level at its highest point in the last 11 years.
Speaking at a government meeting in response to the explosion of the coronary, Mr. Moon mentioned a church in Shincheonji, a religious sect thought to have had the recent outbreak of the disease.
The infection is believed to have spread after one of the Church members, a woman in her 60s, participated several times in the city's religious services in Daeg before testing positively with the virus last week.
