Serbia has officially sent a protest note to Albania regarding the interpretation it made to incumbent Foreign Minister Gent Cakaj President Aleksandar Vucic's statement of the Recak massacre.
Vucic denied that what happened in Recak in 1991 had to do with a massacre, but Cakaj reacted sharply on December 6th with a status on his social network “Facebook”, not only saying Vucic acts as Nazi Germany's propaganda minister, but also said that denial of it is a criminal act.
The “Joseph Goebbels of Milosevic's propaganda has now become champion of denial, underestimation and trivibise of war crimes. Scandalous! International actors must condemn such indiscreet and distorted acts of truth that offend victims and reconciliation efforts. Recak's massacre will never be forgotten”, Cakaj wrote.
Serbia a day after the declaration appears to have reacted and brought a note of protest to Albania, stressing that such statements in no way contribute to the efforts we are making to advancing the reports of our two countries and general relations in the region.
