Selimi: We don't know when the tax is lifted, reciprocity is in agreement with LDK

Vetevendosje Movement parliamentary group chief Rexhep Selimi in a conversation Express Says there is no precise date when the tariff to Serbian and Bosnian products can be lifted. Until, he adds, the LVV had taken this stand since 2011.

We don't have any exact date, I don't want to refer to you as tax removal, before being referred to as replacing the mass reciprocity tax on Serbia. This stance is not new to the Vetevendosje Movement, but this is the position since 2011, since we protested in Merdare and White but also in the Assembly. From then until today, we have the same attitude towards this issue, which requires trade reciprocity measures and also political measures with Serbia”, he says.

By the Democratic League of Kosovo, however, they are insisting that full reciprocity should be done only in co-ordination with the US, the EU. America has already come against that measure, until, in the European Union, they still have no clear stance.

Selimi has spoken about how much this would affect Kosovo's relations with internationals and whether the coalition partners are unique for reciprocity to be applied.

The “these I'm talking about are under the coalition agreement. I am referring to the harmonisation of the programme among partners where there has been agreement on all topics, including this”, he adds.

The leader of the Vetvendosje Movement deputies says reciprocity is the highest level of trust, the value taught by the United States.

We see this as the highest level of mutual trust and mutual reports, and this value as many other values we have learned from the United States of America”, says, as it has indicated that prior to the deployment of the measure there will be full co-ordination with the US,

“I don't know exactly when it's the agenda, but we're going to be completely co-ordinated with the United States of America”, he said.
