The head of the Albanian government will visit Moscow on 26 February.
So far it has been confirmed meeting with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Diplomatic sources told A2 that the Albanian side has asked Rama to have a meeting with President Vladimir Putin as well.
Today, Edi Rama, as the next president of the OSCE, has spoken of Ukraine and the situation in this country at the UN Security Council session.
Rama said there is a serious situation in the contact area and stressed that as of December there are 69 people dead and 20,000 incidents. The Albanian prime minister called for the possibility of establishing a peacekeeping mission in the area.
Avoiding escalation of the situation in Ukraine is one of the priorities Prime Minister Rama ranked during assuming O presidency The SEU in Vienna.
