Despite that in Kosovo, no case with Coronaviurs has yet been noted so far, the risk of infection remains.

This danger increased with the arrival of the Chinese virus in Italy, where large numbers of Albanians live. In fact, it is from Italy that certain cases of suspicion have been handled in the infectious clinic that resulted in negative.

Former Health Minister Uran Ismaili, in an interview for Online Economy that the vast Albanian diaspora in Italy and the movements between Albania and Kosovo, caused the latter to be more threatened by the Chinese virus that has left more than 2700 people dead.

Ismaili says Kosovo should be as prepared in the event of Coronavirus' show.

The first “we see that all the predictions that have been, if kept, are supposed to be kept as much control as possible, these predictions have not always yielded results as they had to”.

And we've had an explosion in Italy now, and we've hit Europe in a form that hasn't been before, so as such, it makes it inevitable that we will raise all of our acters in a state of readiness for such a possible disease, so we know that in Italy there are still large Albanian diaspora from Albania, and we know our movements with Albania, and that all of this makes a possible infection corridor, so what we need to do is to prepare as much as we can, said Ismaili.

Ismaili, who is a member of the Commission for Health and Social Goodness, says they will be available to assist all actors in the health sector.

You need to understand that this is more of a thing that the world is adapting to, and what's worth added in this case is the speed with which the reaction and speed with which the preparations are made. So in the past time that I was a minister, of course those preparations have been all that they've been and I hope and from what I'm seeing is that there's a commitment to all acts. As the Parliamentary Health Commission, we'll be available to all the health sector acts that we'll be able to help”.

For us it's important that the population be protected it's not important to be criticized or criticized in this case, if you help the entire health sector to be prepared for our population. We'll be willing to help make sure we have as little infection as possible, Ismaili said.

Otherwise, he appeals for the medical staff to be equipped with masks and protective equipment, since they are the most endangered in this case.

“Apel not to be forgotten that the most necessary masks are for health workers, not citizens. We still have no reason to be on guard, but we have to save many health workers because they are on the front line and do whatever it is possible to provide them with and not create a shortage in the market from a panic which is still not concrete”, Ismaili said.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Arben Vitita has declared that all necessary measures have been taken for the prevention and treatment of possible cases with Coronavirus.

“The computer for infectious diseases has provided a host of recommendations from primary health care, SKKUK, border points and all relevant institutions. After this plan is approved, all operations” are being taken, Vitia said.
